Den Du Monde (DDM) is a creative agency that connects strategists and creatives with small businesses and entrepreneurs to help them achieve ambitious goals. With roots in the not-for-profit sector, DDM values collaboration, community, and grassroots outreach. I have been tasked with designing a logo that reflects DDM’s mission and values, capturing the agency’s spirit of creativity, collective ambition, and its ability to turn visions into reality.
The concept for the logo draws from Den Du Monde’s original unofficial logo, which was inspired by Saturn. The agency’s founder was heavily influenced by the planet’s rings, symbolizing a vast network and expansive vision. Building on this, I designed the new logo to reflect the creator's vision of outer space as a metaphor for dreams, ambitions, creativity, and networking. The circular element, representing “monde” (world), signifies inclusivity, unity, and a global perspective, aligning with DDM’s mission to bring together diverse ideas and ambitions.
The new design incorporates elements from the original Saturn concept, such as the circular form, but refines the symbolism to better represent DDM’s values. The circle and stars are joined by a line, symbolizing connection and networking—key aspects of Den Du Monde. This line links the stars, representing the collaborative nature of DDM, and may evoke an infinity symbol to reflect the ongoing pursuit of goals. Additionally, it can resemble mountains, symbolizing overcoming challenges, or a paperclip, emphasizing unity and holding ideas together, all while staying true to the founder’s original inspiration.
The logo design incorporates a bold pink and rich purple, chosen to reflect Den Du Monde’s values. The energetic pink symbolizes creativity, passion, and community, aligning with DDM’s focus on grassroots marketing and relationship-building. The deep purple adds a sense of ambition and sophistication, embodying the agency’s drive to transform ideas into reality. These colors, combined with the circular form, stars, and connecting line, create a logo that encapsulates DDM’s vision of collaboration and innovation.
